Oak Kubb set

The batons and corner markers are made from beech.  Air dried green oak is used for the kubbs and King, and are treated with a single coat of Oli-Natura Yacht & Teak oil.

A canvas bag is supplied and a wooden box is available as a separate item.

I request a charity donation, paid directly to the charity through my JustGiving page.   Courier delivery within the UK is around £10 (the set weighs just over 6kg), paid to me through PayPal.

Description

The oak kubb set with beech batons is supplied with canvas bag and optionally a plywood box with a jute handle.

You can just throw the pieces into the canvas bag after a game, as we often do, but if you stack them as illustrated in the picture below, you will find it easier to carry and store.  Put the king in first, upright, alongside two rows of three upright kubbs.  Lay the remaining four kubbs on top then push the batons down one side. The corner stakes fit fortuitously in the small gap beside the king. Done.

Before storing the set in the wooden box take care to ensure all the pieces are dry (see care instructions).  The box restricts airflow, so there is a risk of some mould setting in if packed away while still damp, although this risk is lessened if treated with Oli-Natura Yacht & Teak oil or similar protective oils.  Place the kubbs in first then lie the king and batons on top, as illustrated in these pictures.
